Skeedish Muff V2: First Look
What up guys,

No significant changes from the first version. Just production side changes – redid the board for 2 sided fabrication and consolidated the 2 dual op amps into a quad opamp.

Check the vid – it works perfectly
Done with the enclosure
Have a rule that I always to the enclosure before I box it up – otherwise it never gets done.
Do I put too much work into the enclosures?
Perhaps you should ask why other pedal manufactures don’t!
Started off like this:

I then decided I might as well try something new… so:

Then comes the goop:

Final assembly tomorrow.

Useful Tips for the Intermetidate Builder
Howzit guys,
Here’s a handful of tips and thoughts intended to aid an intermediate builder
ie someone who’s built at least one or two pedals before.
For a complete beginner guide – Google is your best friend. Tons of info available. 🙂
Wiring
I hate too much wiring! I don’t try to get my wiring super neat but it’s no messy either.
1.Use 3pdt PCB switches – save yourself a major headache. Highly recommended!

2. Get the right wire. I use 24AWG. Even better, use the dual wires.
Just about everything on a pedal comes in pairs – input/output, positive/ground.
3. Prewired LED’s – $10 free delivery off eBay – can you afford not to?
4. Use a 50k trim pot as the LED current limiting resistor. Nothing wo
Use a 50k pot and 1k CLR – will suit ANY 5mm LED
Build the enclosure first and test it
Test the circuit before properly wiring it in
Build an audio probe – simplest thing in the world
Hook clips
Finish it drawer of stuff
test it first
if buy PCBs – get them with board mounted pots
make your own board mounted pots
Prepare the enclosure first
The right wire is NB
24AWG not sure in CM
Dot of super glue to hold the wires in
